Legal notice

In short

  • Croatiapp is run by Martín Silva Molina, an independent developer based in Croatia, as a private individual: it isn't a company yet. That doesn't take away any of your rights: you have all of them, just like with any online shop.
  • For anything legal: legal@croatiapp.app. For everything else: hey@croatiapp.app or our contact page.
  • The Academy's texts, characters, cards and videos belong to us: you can use them to learn, but not to copy or resell them.

This summary helps you find your way around; it doesn't replace the full text.

2. How to reach us

We can help you in Croatian, English and Spanish. We usually reply within 48 working hours, and to written complaints within 15 days at the latest (see Withdrawal and complaints).

3. Digital Services Act points of contact

Under arts. 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act), our single point of contact for Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, and also for users, is legal@croatiapp.app. Languages: Croatian and English (Spanish too). To report illegal content, use the form in our Community guidelines.

4. Supervisory authorities

Croatiapp does not need prior administrative authorisation or membership of a professional body to operate. The authorities that supervise it are:

  • Consumer protection: Državni inspektorat Republike Hrvatske, Šubićeva 29, 10000 Zagreb, Hrvatska (dirh.gov.hr).
  • Data protection: Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, Hrvatska, azop@azop.hr (azop.hr).
  • Digital services (DSA): Hrvatska regulatorna agencija za mrežne djelatnosti (HAKOM), Ulica Roberta Frangeša Mihanovića 9, 10110 Zagreb, Hrvatska (www.hakom.hr).

Alternative dispute resolution: Croatiapp isn't signed up to any consumer alternative dispute resolution body. If you suggest mediation before a body recognised in Croatia, we'll consider it in good faith (see Withdrawal and complaints). The EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform closed on 20 July 2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228), which is why we don't link to it.

5. Intellectual property

The Croatiapp and Croatiapp Academy trade marks, the crest, the characters (the Profesorica, Ivona, Pablo, Fabián and Martín), the illustrations, cards, comics, videos, voices, scripts, exercises, texts and the design of the websites belong to the owner or are used under licence. They are protected by the Zakon o autorskom pravu i srodnim pravima (Croatian Copyright and Related Rights Act) and by EU and international law.

You can view and use them to learn, as set out in the Terms and conditions. You may not copy, download, record, redistribute or sell them, or use them to train artificial intelligence systems, without our written permission.

Text and data mining opt-out: under art. 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790, the owner expressly reserves the use of Croatiapp's content for text and data mining, including the training of artificial intelligence models. This reservation is also expressed in machine-readable form in each website's robots.txt.

The news on the croatiapp.app portal links to the original publishers: the headline, a very short excerpt and the link. The full text and the photos belong to their authors.

6. Links and third-party content

Our websites link to third-party pages (news outlets, YouTube, social networks). We don't control their content or their policies. If you find a link that leads to something illegal, let us know and we'll remove it.

7. Our other documents

This notice is published in Croatian, English and Spanish at legal.croatiapp.app.
